Moneywise: A Retirement Plan For The Masses
The Great Recession forced many Americans to deplete their retirement savings. A 2015 Federal Reserve study found that 31% of working Americans had no retirement savings. Employees with a company retirement plan, like a 401(k) plan, can rebuild their retirement savings where they work.
Many Americans, especially those working part-time, often do not have a retirement plan where they work. Workers without a company retirement plan can still save for their retirement, using a myRA retirement account. The myRA retirement account was developed by the US Treasury Department to help people save for retirement.
The masses needed a simple, safe and affordable retirement savings plan. The myRA retirement plan has no fees, there is no risk of losing money and no minimum balance requirements. Savers can even withdraw money from their myRA accounts tax-free and without penalty. Finally, a retirement plan for the masses.

Career Wise: Start Your Tech Career Without A Degree
A high school graduate armed with an information technology certificate can earn between $30,000 and $60,000 a year. That's the entry-level salary range for information technology (IT) specialists. There’s a shortage of IT specialists in the U.S.
Do you know someone who is unemployed, under-employed or who has never been employed who needs a job? If you do, tell them that 400,000 entry-level IT jobs were posted last year. IT is a growing industry, so we can expect similar job postings this year and in years to come.
Most people think a costly graduate degree is needed to work in IT. But in reality many people begin their IT careers without a college degree. Many entry-level IT jobs only require a certificate that costs under $300. The top three entry-level IT certifications are Cisco Certified Network Associate, Comp TIAA + Technician, and my favorite the Network Information Specialist. Network Information Specialists maintain PC’s, laptops and mobile devices. I don’t know about most companies in America, but I know that most households in America need a Network Information Specialist.

Business Wise: New SBA Loans For Ex-offenders
700,000 people are released from prisons each year. Today ex-offenders represent almost every segment of American society. They are mothers and daughters; young and old, teen-agers black and white. Some are Veterans and the mentally disabled who need medical care. Regardless of their backgrounds all ex-offenders need a chance to reimagine their American dream.
The U.S. Small Business Administration has a loan program to help ex-offenders. In 2015 the U.S. Small Business Administration started allowing their non-profit lenders to provide micro-loans ($15,000 to $50,000) to parolees who own small businesses. Parolees face the highest barriers to finding employment. “Small business ownership is a path toward wealth creation and independence,” said SBA spokesman Miguel A. Ayala. Self-employment can also help an ex-offender reimagine their American dream.
